Integrating Social Emotional

3 credits for both grad & undergrad. This course will introduce undergraduate and graduate students to Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) models and frameworks often embedded into community-based programs and interventions focused on child health behaviors. The course will delve into the knowledge and research surrounding implementation of SEL models aimed at improving physical and nutrition literacy. More specifically, it will provide students in health, kinesiology, and nutrition sciences opportunities to develop and apply developmentally appropriate skills and strategies to effectively integrate SEL principles into physical activity and nutrition education.
