Emphasizes the physiology and biochemistry of intoxication; discusses the types of cellular response to toxic compounds and the role of species variation in the economic use of toxins as pesticides and therapeutic agents.

Same as CPSC 433, ENVS 480, and VB 549. Prerequisite: MCB 350 or MCB 406, or consent of instructor.
