Credit: 3 hours.

Students who have never completed a composition on a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) will have an opportunity to explore urban popular music beatmaking from a lens of analysis, creative, and technical understanding; and to apply that creative and technical understanding in producing original music. Students work directly with a music industry professional to produce original music of their own.

Credit is not given toward graduation for MUS 499 BT1 section and MUS 127.
