Human Resources Career Development

Credit: 3 hours.

Students will engage in an in-depth exploration of HR careers and career development in today’s dynamic workplace. The course combines examination of career theories with practical application, equipping students to approach HR careers from both the individual career planning and organizational perspective (i.e., organizational talent management). Students will learn how organizations design strategies to foster employee growth, enhance career pipelines, and retain talent, as well as how individuals actively shape and navigate their own career journeys.
