The course is split into four parts: AI history, technical details of large language models, empirical effects of AI usage, and contemporary cultural debates around AI. In addition to a self-guided project of the student’s choosing as a final, we will focus on effects of AI on our own creative and professional writing processes. Restriction(s): Restricted to Graduate - Urbana-Champaign.
