Section Info:
Topic: Social Network Analysis Description: This seminar will investigate how social Social Network Analysis (SNA) can be used by historians to create visual depictions of the nature of the interactions among large groups of individuals. After being exposed to SNA theory and methodology, participants will undertake a project related to their own field of study. Although the course will focus on pre-modern history, the methodology is independent of time period, geography, and discipline. No previous exposure to digital humanities and digital technologies is required; all the information technology needed to pursue the studies will be provided on a “need to know” basis.
