Examines the role of physical activity on health throughout the lifespan with a key focus on using contemporary scientific literature to facilitate classroom discussion and activities. Broadly, this course will discuss the improvements in health associated with increasing physical activity. More specifically, this course will enable students to guide a greater understanding of the mechanisms and physiological complexity which mediate the beneficial effects of physical activity on human health and performance.
