Utilizes a health perspective to introduce students to a wide range of issues in modern medical ethics and will inform issues of practical, philosophical importance for all members of society. All of us will participate in medical decision making in our lifetimes, as patients or as family members. At this level of analysis, which examines personal decision-making, social dynamics, policy constraints, economics, and other factors, ethical issues can be viewed in their fullest biopsychosocial context.
