Credit: 3 hours.
Offers practical experience to students aspiring to work in applied exercise fields with a diverse older population. Successful mastery of the concepts will enhance and develop instructional methods and skills on an individual and group exercise basis. This course offers extensive “on the job” training through the Lifetime Fitness Program, a service outreach program of the Department of Health and Kinesiology, dedicated to offering safe and effective exercise opportunities to older adults in the community.
May be repeated in separate terms for a maximum of 6 hours. Prerequisite: Active CPR certification is required at the beginning of the term and certification must remain active.
