Health Behavior Theories and Applications

Credit: 4 hours.

Examines the application of the social, psychological, and behavioral sciences to health and health behavior. This course will cover topics including: development of health attitudes and behaviors, sociological understandings of health beliefs and behaviors, perceptions of health and illness, methods of changing health behavior, and evidence for the impact of health behaviors on health outcomes.

Prerequisite: Completion of the campus Composition I requirement.

Students must register for one discussion and one lecture section.
