Exotic Mammals
Section Info:
In this lecture/discussion course, students will learn about characteristics, environment, reproduction and conservation of exotic mammals in Asia, Africa and the Americas. Focus will be on livestock, safari animals and zoo animals residing on farms, ranches, nature reserves, sanctuaries, national parks, zoos and in the wild. The course will also include topics such as geography, culture, laws, policies, regulations, human interactions and livestock-wildlife conflicts concerning exotic mammals. Guest experts from all over the world will visit or speak to the class remotely. This is a very interactive course and active participation and group collaboration is required. Pre-req: ANSC 221, ANSC 222, ANSC 223, ANSC 224 or equivalent
