Credit: 3 hours.

Advanced instruction in the selection of breeding animals of beef, sheep, and swine species and in the evaluation of market animals for slaughter. This course requires visits to farms, related companies, and events to observe the latest techniques and scientific principles associated with livestock selection and evaluation.

Prerequisite: ANSC 211 or consent of instructor.

Students are responsible for personal expenses on field trips.
