The Science of Pets and How to Care for Them

Credit: 3 hours.

Provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to care for animal species commonly kept as pets. Biological concepts of anatomy, genetics, evolution, nutrition, reproduction, and behavior will provide valuable insight into companion animal husbandry practices for dogs, cats, small mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, and amphibians.

Credit is not given for both ANSC 207 and ANSC 307.
