Exploring Media and Advertising: Industry Influencers, Companies and Culture: Students will learn about media, content creation, advertising, technology and entertainment industries; be introduced to a wide variety of industry influencers, company cultures and career opportunities in organizations such as Google, TikTok, advertising agencies, PR firms, media companies and various global brands. Students will also gain valuable first-hand knowledge and insights about overall career development strategies and interact directly with a network of media professionals. Course includes an industry immersion field trip to visit agencies and media companies. Open to all majors. Counts toward Advertising ICT / major elective requirements and provides experience which can used in resumes, applications and interviews for jobs, RSOs, ICT, scholarships, etc.
