Title: United States History to 1815 Topic: This course, while ending in the nineteenth century, and hinting at the various sectional crises that led the nation untoCivil War, is a very broad, mult-national and transatlantic offering aimed at providing a comprehensive understanding of Early America. The experiences of Native Americans, along with the colonial expeditions of the French, Spanish, and British, are all analyzed - and most importantly through the vehicle of primary source documents - in providing students with a plenary and nuanced look at the United States' ideological foundations, its conflicts and resolutions, and the true roots of what would become modern America.
