(SPAN 472) Presentation of major critical theories for the analysis of literary and cultural texts since the mid-20th century. Hispanic, Italian, Luso-Brasilian, and U.S. Latina/o critical theory will be studied. Students will demonstrate their understanding of these theories by critically engaging texts written in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or the foreign language of their specialization.

Same as ITAL 572, and PORT 572. Prerequisite: Graduate standing in the Department of Spanish, Italian and Portuguese, or consent of instructor.
