(SPAN 471) In-depth exploration of fundamental concepts in foreign language teaching; designed for departmental Teaching Assistants; topics include classroom discourse, teaching approaches, reading, listening, writing, and principles of language testing.

Same as ITAL 571, and PORT 571. Prerequisite: Teaching assistantship in the Department of SPAN, ITAL, and PORT, or consent of instructor.
