Teaching Writing to Learners with Disabilities
Credit: 4 hours.
Students will learn the components of written expression and how to design writing instruction for students with disabilities. Students will learn effective strategies for teaching and assessing foundational writing skills (e.g., handwriting, keyboarding, spelling) and written expression to learners with disabilities.
4 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. Credits is not given for SPED 443 and SPED 440 or 441. Prerequisite: Admission to the Department of Special Education or consent of instructor.
