- This course focuses on the educational experiences of Latinx communities both in and out of schools (k-12 & higher education). Grounded in Critical Race and Chicanx/Latinx feminist perspectives, this course introduces students to key concepts and important research to better understand the sociopolitical intersections (race, class, gender, sexuality, citizenship, language) that impact the educational pathways of Latinx students. As a an advanced cross listed course between Curriculum Instruction & Latina/Latino Studies, we will review theoretical, methodological, and pedagogical insights in the field.
