Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leadership: •Learn and use theoretical knowledge about diversity, equity, and inclusion as strategies used within organizations; Participate in a department-level committee to apply DEI concepts to HDFS departmental activities or policies; •Students will meet about twice a month (for an hour, official time will be set once we have everyone’s schedules) with the HDFS department DEI group, read one required book and one book of choice, write some reflections, and go to a Leadership Lab •Students must be sophomores and above with a GPA of at least 2.0 Make a difference in your home department! Leadership in Neurodiversity 2
Section Info:
Focusing on the practical application of neuroinclusive leadership, the course empowers students to plan and organize events, discussions, and activities related to neurodiversity and neuroinclusion on campus. Participants will present and act on research findings, honing leadership, communication, and project management skills. Through hands-on experiences, students will advocate for neuroinclusive environments, create meaningful initiatives, and foster greater awareness of neurodiversity within the university community.
