Credit: 2 hours.

Neurodivergent students will gain an overview of employment preparation in this course. Students will create a resume and elevator pitch, learn corporate etiquette, practice interview skills, attend career fairs, and gain exposure and confidence in their job seeking skills. Corporate guest speakers will share various topics about hiring and supporting neurodivergent talent for internships and permanent positions.

Credit is not given for HDFS 199 Pre-Employment and HDFS 202. Online course offering requires instructor approval. Prerequisite: Restricted to First year or Sophomore students enrolled in the Illinois Neurodiversity Initiative (INI) Program.
