Network Econometrics & Supply Chain Analysis
Credit: 4 hours.
Provides the theory, techniques and hands-on experience necessary to understand, model and measure networks and supply-chains. The course is split into two parts. The first one deals with the econometric techniques needed for the inclusion of networks in cross-sectional and panel datasets. The second part of the course will focus on input-output techniques used to measure supply-chain linkages, economic impacts and environmental footprints. An important aspect of the course is to gain hands-on experience in applying the appropriate techniques and using state-of-the-art software (GeoDa and R).
Prerequisite: ACE 562, ACE 564, ECON 535, or the equivalent; or consent of the instructor. Restricted to graduate students.
