Introduction to Research in Consumer Economics and Finance equips students with foundational knowledge and practical skills in research focusing on topics including but not limited to household decision-making, retirement planning, household finances, financial planning, consumer behavior, and behavioral economics. Through the lens of research questions, students explore topics related to consumer behavior and financial planning. The class provides hands-on learning experiences at every step of the research process, empowering students with essential tools for conducting consumer-focused research. Additionally, students learn about the effect of consumer economics and finance research in the real world.
