T&M Int'l Cultural Immersion

To ensure the students in T&M Class XXV and XXVI are provided with the opportunity to develop global business and cultural competencies within The Hoeft Technology and Management Program, the T&M International Cultural Immersion experience has been redesigned as a full semester, 3-credit hour virtual “learning by doing” course. In this course, T&M students meet online with their peers abroad. The international cohort works within a course module as well as on multidisciplinary teams solving a real organizational problem using human-centric design methodology. Through participation in this course, students will gain real international consulting experience and are able to: 1.Collaborate in international, multifunctional team environments effectively through an increased understanding of international and cultural issues. 2. Gain practical, industry experience performing Human-Centered Design (HCD) methods. 3.Demonstrate the critical skills of managing client relationships and selling solutions with compelling presentations that demonstrate global and intercultural competency.
