Analysis of the intersections of languages, cultures and policies in the context of specific professions in Spanish-speaking countries (including the US) and in transnational relations. Emphasis on professional ethics and intercultural competence. Instruction in Spanish unless otherwise noted.

May be repeated in the same or separate terms to a maximum of 6 hours, if topics vary. Prerequisite: SPAN 228 or consent of instructor.
