ECE 575

Spring 2026 Part of Term 1

Part of Term 1
Jan 20-May 6
Wave Physics in Wireless: from Fundamentals to Frontiers

Credit: 4 hours.

Wave physics of wireless communication from basic information transmission to emerging technologies in fifth-generation (5G) systems and beyond. The goal is to bridge the students’ knowledge gap between electromagnetic theory, information theory, and signal processing. Students will learn physics-based modeling of the wireless system through electromagnetic theory to master the formulation and development of commensurate communication theory.

Prerequisite: ECE 350 or ECE 520.
