Topic: This course introduces students to natural fiber practices such as basketry, cordage-making, and introductory spinning and weaving, with an emphasis on foraging, preparing, and processing plant materials into usable fibers. The semester culminates in a collaborative project with the Red Oak Rain Garden, where students will design an outdoor escape-room experience that uses puzzles based on fiber arts and ecological knowledge. Some seats are reserved for A&D majors, A&D minors, and non-A&D majors. If you receive a "reserve closed" error, all seats for your major are filled, check back on December 1. Any available seats left on December 1 will be made available to all majors.
