Credit: 3 hours.

Introduction to basic concepts, processes, and materials in sculpture, with an emphasis on the relationship among these three aspects of producing works of art. Materials including wood, plaster, and clay will be used additively to fabricate, model and cast forms. Subtractive methods utilizing carving, and the making of meaning via materials, methods and context are also discussed.

A student registered in one or more Art & Design course(s) exhibiting this message, will be assessed a $95 facility use fee once each term.
