Introduces students to the Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences (NRES) department, College of ACES, and how to navigate the college experience. Through class discussions and assignments, students will explore the academic environment at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, develop skills that will aid in learning, and build community inside and outside the classroom.

Credit is not given toward graduation for: NRES 123 and ACES 101 or NRES 123 and NRES 199 (sections D1, D2, D3, or D4). Prerequisite: Restricted to first year NRES students.
