Journalism Proseminar

Credit: 4 hours.

Introduction to scholarship and research in journalism and mass communication examining theoretical approaches to the meanings, uses, and effects of mass media in society; discussion of media freedom and accountability; humanistic and social scientific contributions to understanding mass communication.

Prerequisite: Consent of department.
