An introduction to video storytelling techniques. Covers field reporting, writing, editing and studio production for news stories. Students learn to create video for broadcast and online and how to use social media to engage the viewer.

Prerequisite: JOUR 215. Concurrent enrollment with JOUR 317 is allowed. May not be taken concurrently with JOUR 217.
