This course is an introduction to the main theory and practice of peace education and conflict resolution using the practical example of Jewish-Arab relations in Israel. It will provide theoretical knowledge and a comprehensive view of the Palestinian – Israeli conflict while simultaneously focusing on practical skills such as mediation and facilitation derived from the decades-long experience of Givat Haviva’s shared society model.
