Section Info:
SOCW 199: Transfer Connection, is designed to support new transfer students in their transition to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus and to the School of Social Work. Students in this course will assess their current academic, personal, and professional needs, while learning about resources and supports available to them. In addition, students will be welcomed into our UIUC School of Social Work community through discussions and exchanges with faculty, staff and other students. We will explore and examine strategies for addressing common challenges facing transfer students in their academic and personal transition to Illinois.
