FA23 - ENGL 280 Women Writers, Charlesia McKinney - Black Women Writers - From Audre Lorde to adrienne maree brown, this course will prioritize themes of pleasure and desire as we engage classic and contemporary texts related to Black women’s embodiment. Guided by Black feminist thought, to expand our current conceptions of writing, we will survey Black women's cultural production across essays, short stories, poems, articles, music videos, book chapters, podcasts, (and more).
