Health and Leisure in Recreation, Sport and Tourism
Credit: 4 hours.
In this graduate course, current issues and trends in research and practice on the topics of leisure, health and wellness across the lifespan are examined as they relate to RST. The variety of ways leisure/recreation affects health/well-being and how health/well-being affects leisure is examined from the perspectives of many disciplines. This course also emphasizes RST policy and program implications and approaches to research and program evaluation (e.g., methodologies, translational, transformative, community participatory).
Same as HDFS 586. 4 graduate hours. No professional credit.
