Description: This is a survey of the history of science in the West over the past 2000 years, with an emphasis on the important role science has come to have in our society. Topics will include ancient Greek science, Copernicus, Galileo and the church, the Scientific Revolution, Darwin and evolution, Einstein and relativity, the atom bomb, the discovery of DNA, and the space race.
