This course is a PhD level seminar covering topics in Supply Chain Management (SCM). The course serves the dual purpose of introducing classic models and business problems, as well as providing an overview of current research. Along, with topics in SCM, our emphasis in this course will also be on research methodology (Analytical Modeling) used in the analysis of these topics. In particular, the course will cover a broad overview of the optimization theory. We will discuss some fundamental structural results and solution approaches. We will also discuss the modeling of various optimization problems in the context of SCM.
