Overview of assessment and evaluation techniques in music education, emphasizing the design of performance assessments, how to collect quality data in the music classroom, and how to use data to alter instruction. Five weeks devoted to context exploring basic statistical techniques, including how to interpret data.

3 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: Completion of Quantitative Reasoning I requirement. For Music Ed majors with Junior or Senior standing, graduate Music Ed students, or consent of instructor.
