While the focus of this seminar will be on practical issues related to teaching and course development—including developing sample syllabi and lesson plans as well as a teaching philosophy for use on the job market—we will also read a range of works that reflect on pedagogy more generally. Expect both to participate consistently in class discussion and to read and comment upon your peers’ work. Restriction(s): Restricted to English or Creative Writing major(s) or minor(s). Restricted to Graduate - Urbana-Champaign.
