Basic principles, techniques, and materials for the emergent literacy classroom. Emphasizes linguistic and cultural factors in culturally diverse settings.

3 undergraduate hours. 3 graduate hours. Prerequisite: EPSY 236; admission to the Early Childhood Teacher Education Program. Concurrent enrollment in CI 420.
