Explores theories of creativity; situates creativity and creative practices within the social structure of organizations that develop creative content; examines the relationship between creative strategy, creative concepts and creative executions; exposes students to the practice of creating content for traditional and non-traditional media vehicles.

Prerequisite: ADV 150.

Advertising majors will be given first priority.

Students who have completed ADV 450 should not register for ADV 390. While the number is different, the course content is the same. Registering for the new course would be seen as duplicate credit. Duplicate credit does not count toward graduation and students registering for the duplicate course will be asked to drop. Course now opened to campus sophomores, juniors and seniors who have met the required prerequisite.
