Students will be introduced to the theoretical and historical foundations of using eye-tracking in reading and language research. The majority of the course will consist of practical, hands-on training and practice using a state-of-the-art eye tracker in a laboratory setting. Skills to be developed include operating the eye tracker, developing appropriate experimental materials, programming experiments, collecting data, analyzing data, and interpreting results, all of which will be conducted in the instructor's lab. Note: This course will meet in 1424 Beckman Institute.
