"Jazz and World Music" One of the creative engines driving jazz since its inception at the beginning of the 20th century has been the interplay between its position in the U.S. and the rest of the world. This course will explore the history of musical exchange between American jazz and other, Non-American music as well as looking at jazz outside the U.S.
