Thermo & Statistical Physics
Credit: 4 hours.
Course in statistical and thermal physics designed primarily for advanced undergraduates; topics include equilibrium thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, and kinetic theory of gases. A unified treatment is used in that the principles of heat and thermodynamics are discussed along with statistical postulates and the microscopic approach of introductory quantum mechanics.
