(SOC W 313) Examines the impact of illness and disability on individuals, their families, and the larger community. The physical, psychological, sociological, educational, vocational. And financial aspects of the most common health conditions are discussed. Emphasis is placed on conceptualizing an effective model of social work practice in medical and rehabilitative settings.

Prerequisite: Admission to MSW program, or consent of instructor.
