Investigative Approach to Elementary Mathematics Instruction

Credit: 3 hours.

Course will model and examine an investigative approach to elementary mathematics instruction, which is purposeful, inquiry-based, and meaningful mathematics instruction. Particular focus will be given to the teaching and learning of measurement, geometry and algebra/functions.

3 undergraduate hours. 3 graduate hours. Prerequisite: CI 430 or CI 431; admission to the Elementary Teacher Education Program.
