Applied Evaluation and Data-Informed Decision-Making

Credit: 4 hours.

Designed to equip students with foundational skills to apply data-based decision making in recreation, sport, and tourism professions. Topics include an exploration of the roles of data in the profession, ethical data use, bias awareness, and practical methods for data collection, analysis and visualization. Interpreting findings, generating actionable reports, presenting recommendations, prioritizing strategies and their implementation, and fostering a data-driven mindset within organizations will be emphasized.
