Studies of selected topics in Food Science. Study may be on specialized topics in any one of the following fields: food chemistry, food microbiology, nutrition, food processing/engineering. Lectures and/or laboratory.

May be repeated if topics vary. Students may register only once for a given topic. Prerequisite: Graduate level status or consent of instructor.

Priority registration is given to FSHN Online MS Students ***** Research Methods for Graduate Students: This 8-week online course is designed for graduate students with limited or no prior research experience. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and assignments, students will explore the foundational principles of research design, study planning, data collection, and proposal writing. By the end of this course, students will be able to describe the basic steps and ethical principles of the research process, formulate well-defined, researchable questions and hypotheses, and draft a structured research proposal with a clear rationale and methodology.
