SP25 ENGL 360 - Environmental Writing - John Barnard - ENGL 360 is the first course in a three-course sequence for the Certificate in Environmental Writing. The course will provide an introduction to environmental writing and prepare students to write about the environment in various ways for various audiences. Writing assignments will include reviews, personal essays, and researched articles, among other things. The specific focus of the class will be on the environmental impacts of food, energy, and transportation, and we will delve into the problems in these sectors and possible solutions. We will engage these issues through a wide range of readings and other forms of media, as well as visits to key sites of on-campus infrastructure.
