This seminar will focus on scholarship at the intersection of relationship science, law, and policy. The goal of the course is to understand the intended and unintended consequences of legislating and adjudicating close relationships. Topics will include but are not limited to: marriage equality, immigration, divorce and child custody, family leave policies, and reproductive rights.
